Wescan Systems Limited has deep roots in the global marketplace. While the name Wescan Systems Limited was only established in May 2002 by a Management Buy Out of Northrop Grumman-Canada, Ltd., its people and technology have grown from over fifty years experience, first as a division of Westinghouse Canada, then as Northrop Grumman-Canada, Ltd., and finally as Wescan Systems Limited. Our kiosk business evolved out of thirty years as a leading supplier to the airline business providing terminals, PCs, networks and logistical expertise to over 160 airlines in some 80 countries. The Linatrol family of products developed strong roots in the cutting machine market as a division of Westinghouse back in the fifties. It has grown from first generation optical tracers to state-of-the-art PC based intelligent controllers, all of which, can be found hard at work around the globe delivering custom solutions. Our defence business has a long respected history also dating back into the fifties. The list of accomplishments includes supplying major US airports with radar transmitters, equipping the Canadian Patrol Frigates with sonar, supplying Nexrad weather radar transmitters and arming torpedoes with guidance systems. This rich history of product innovation and excellence continues with many of these same people under the new banner of Wescan Systems Limited. |
